Ignite Enterprise is a volunteer organization founded by Nathan, Ethan, and Olivia, seniors from Miramonte High School. Our mission is to equip young people with entrepreneurial skills to set them up for success.
Through our hands-on program, students explore entrepreneurship—identifying opportunities, crafting business ideas, and creating models. A highlight is our Shark Tank-style competition, where students pitch their ideas to a panel of judges, receive valuable feedback, and win prizes to help launch their ventures.
We also teach students how to leverage LinkedIn to build networks, establish personal brands, and connect with mentors and investors.
Key Takeaways:
Develop and pitch business ideas
Gain experience presenting to investors
Use LinkedIn to expand professional networks

I’m Lexi Lee, and I was part of a group of people who took the Ignite Enterprise course in 2024-2025. This class taught me the fundamentals of entrepreneurship in a light and easy way, and I got to learn many different aspects of business and entrepreneurship. A notable lesson was when we learned about the importance of noteworthy information/headlines when introducing oneself, LinkedIn, and tips to craft an impactful resume. We also got to work on fun miniature projects in each class, such as creating a pitch for an impromptu product or brand we came up with and got to share with our classmates. Overall, the class was enjoyable and I recommend students to take it in the future!
I’m Katelyn Poon, and I took the Ignite Enterprise course during 2024-2025 . Through this class, I gained a strong understanding of the basics of business and entrepreneurship. We received helpful feedback from instructors and worked on engaging mini projects with classmates, making the learning process interactive and enjoyable. The class was not only informative but also entertaining, with clear and simple explanations illustrating important points. One lesson I still clearly remember is the cycle of pitching and turning them into marketable products. The class was a great intro into how real businesses work and are created.
